niche market…… i am directly in the nich marker that the ipad is perfect……i go to a nice school with lots of rich people ..i bring my laptop sometimes…t big to take around and u cant just access it. u have to boot for ages ….. all of my text books and notes are available ……perfect for me

What makes this better than the iPhone?? iPhone is the best web browsing expirence i have witness and i dont think this is any different than the iPhone. I think apple should make a better iPhone. I think its time to change iPhone style now.

Dude, there is a product for everyone, when the iphone came out, a lot of blackberry users were so offensive and somewhat offended by the iphone. They flooded youtube with negative comments about the iphone, same now, if you thing is a piece of crap than, it is a piece of crap to you, but others might differed.

whats the problem with using a smartphone for that. i mean what does the i pad have on the i phone. it just has a bigger screen and its much less portable. its almost a downgrade from the iphone. if you dont want to wisely spend your money on a laptop, or an iphone then buy that piece of crap.

I have a desktop, laptop, smartphone and some times I do the same in all, read emails and browse. I can use the ipad for reading emails in my living room or not, the point is, now of days lots of things are just wants and not needs, want to type for 10hours, use your desktop or laptop, want to browse or read emails while seating at the couch, use ur ipad, what’s the problem?

it’s meant as a more portable, pick up and go machine. it isn’t meant to replace a desktop or laptop for stuff like you’re talking about. he says right away in the first part that they made it to browse the web, email, and enjoy pictures and music. it isn’t meant to replace a laptop or desktop.
