The possibility of a “tablet war” in 2011 seems to be rapidly becoming a likely occurrence. With many developers suffering information leaks and many blog and tech sites circulating rumours it seems that most of the new tablets to be released within the first half of the year will be serious contenders against the pioneering Apple iPad and forthcoming Apple iPad2.
The Blackberry Playbook is one such contender for the top spot of the high-end market with a possible release date in the second quarter of 2011, but how will this tablet endeavour to influence the minds of consumers away from the reputable Apple systems?
The first rumour to have leaked suggests this tablet might be a more suitable purchase is indeed the price. Some sources have stated that it could cost less than $500 at its launch in the US. If this figure is considerably less than $500 then the Playbook will already have attained a market advantage against its main rival. This price however is an estimate for the tablet without a contract and only 8GB of memory. For expansion of this memory consumers could end up forking out an extra $100!
The battery life is another aspect that Blackberry have focused on to improve their chances of sales. Rumoured to have a considerably extended life, the battery of the Playbook may last longer than that of many of the tablet rivals set for release in 2011.
This could be a whole new chapter for the company as it allows for a platform on which they can finally move away from their traditional “business use” phones. Internet sources do state that this is possibly the sole prerogative of the Playbook and business and personal users alike should find that the device does cater for the needs of both. For tablet and mobile phone infomation head over to dialaphone and see thier full range now.

Somehow, the launch of Blackberry phones has been the worst kept secret in recent times, and that is also the case with Blackberry’s new Curve 3G 9300. The specifications of this phone have been leaked on the web a few months ago, and Research In Motion (RIM) has decided to launch the phone to put an end to those endless rumours. The Curve series of the Blackberry phones have always been the most affordable in the Blackberry range and the Curve 3G 9300 is no different.

The Blackberry Curve 3G 9300 is set to launched in the UK having a price tag of £280, although RIM has not announced any date from which the phone will be available. The price tag makes this one of the cheapest Blackberry that you can buy currently. The phone like many of its competitors in its price range sports a full QWERTY keyboard, but this being a Blackberry, you can be sure that it will be of great quality. It has a 2 megapixel, which may let down some people given that phones in this price range have 3.2 megapixel ones. However, having said that, this camera is more than enough for the job of causal photography.

The BlackBerry Curve 9300 offers connectivity options like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v2.1. An 1150 mAh battery that comes with the phone gives more than 4.5 hours of talk time in GSM mode and nearly 29 hours of music playback. Yes, you can also enjoy music in this phone using the phone’s in-built music player. The music player supports a wide range of formats for you to enjoy on this phone. GPS and 3G are some of the additional features in this phone. You can use it to connect with the Maps application that lets you navigate in any part of the world. You can find this new BlackBerry when you compare mobile phone offers online.

When it comes to gadgets no other company has been able to redefine perfection the

If any single gadget can represent an entire era, then a contender for that gadget would certainly be the iPhone.

If any single gadget can represent an entire era, then a contender for that gadget would certainly be the iPhone. The iPhone is without doubt an icon of the first decade of the twenty-first century. Here we will take a brief look at the history of that wonderful machine.
It was on 9th January 2007 at the Macworld Conference and Expo in San Francisco that Steve Jobs made the announcement that introduced the iPhone to the world. It was based on the iPod that was already a barnstorming success, but it was more than a music player and mobile phone combination. It was effectively an entire computer that could also be used to make phone calls.

Where this little gadget opened new doors was that it was able to integrate the mobile web into a handset with such efficiency and panache that users could surf the web as easily as they could make a phone call or send a text message. It boasted a touch screen that was more impressive than any touch screen that had preceded it, and was able to display web pages and graphics with stunning quality.

There were some teething problems with the early models and some billing issues too. The most famous one was a three hundred page iPhone bill that was received by Justine Ezarik of which she made a video and pasted on YouTube. The bill was as large as it was because every item of data transfer had been itemised including all the background information that goes with messaging, web browsing and emailing. Her video received over 8 million views.
It did not take long for Apple to fix the bugs and improve the machine. 2008 a 3G version was introduced. Originally it came with 4GB of memory, but that was upgraded to 8GB. Soon it became apparent that 3G is what the iPhone is all about. The increased data transfer speeds enabled the iPhone to really show off its web surfing credentials leading to many units being sold by retailers such as phones4u amoungst others visit phones4u now for more infomation on the latest iphone
Apple is now preparing the iPhone 4G and a couple of prototypes have surfaced. It seems that a new feature is a front facing camera that will enable the device to be used for video chat.

It is common knowledge that the Apple App Store has been undergoing regular spring cleaning to get rid of adult related apps, template-made apps as well as those infringing on copyright (remember the “Pad” issue?). This has apparently been bugging a few diehard Apple supporters and has motivated one of them to send a message to Mr. Steve Jobs himself.

Matthew Browing said that he has been “starting to have a philosophical issue with the company” because of the strict policing of available apps for download. He has suggested that Apple was not there to zone in on every app that comes along, but rather, should devote their time to making more of the gadgets he loves. Matthew is an avid Apple supporter and has listed purchasing four iPhones, two computers and a number of other random Apple products since his first iPhone 3G purchase. This is what he wrote in his letter to Jobs:

“I’m all for keeping porn out of kids hands. Heck – I’m all for ensuring that I don’t have to see it unless I want to. But… that’s what parent al controls are for. Put these types of apps into categories and allow them to be blocked by their parents should they want to. Apple’s role isn’t moral police – Apple’s role is to design and produce really cool gadgets that do what the consumer wants them to do.”

And being the kind of guy to randomly answer personal inquiries, a message came from the public address of Steve Jobs himself:

“Fiore’s app will be in the store shortly. That was a mistake. However, we do believe we have a moral responsibility to keep porn off the iPhone. Folks who want porn can buy an Android phone.”

There is no telling whether the policies implemented are truly permanent, but as of now, those looking for adult apps will just have to knock at Google’s door. Visit Moby1 to find all the latest mobile phone news on the ongoing feud between Apple and Google. They are a good place to find the best deal for the iPhone or compare Nexus One deals. Android fans can also look at deals for other Android phones like HTC Legend deals.
